Option 17. Create possibilities for development toward a beginning professional

  • The student will develop a professional attitude and will master the competencies of a starting professional.
  • Students should be able to explore various professional roles and work situations (see DP 2).
  • Make sure students have enough flexibility to determine their career path. Students will all have different living and working conditions. If you organise or use a MOOC, consider time differences.
  • An interesting possibility to stimulate personal development is to offer the best students a ‘job’ during their studies.
  • Analyse the necessary competencies, the professional attitudes and the expected future developments with their consequences for your course.
  • Students will have individual developmental targets: decide how to find these targets and tie possible support for the students in your course.
  • Formulate necessary learning activities to support the students learning.
