Possible uses:

  • A system in which the student’s progress is recorded and discussed with the help of a portfolio.
  • Assess learning in a more authentic way.
  • There are summative and formative (or diagnostic) tests. For example, students prepare a portfolio to reflect on their ‘professional’ progress (see Kolb’s cycle) or give each other feedback.
