Option 24. Check qualities of the summative tests

  • Test qualities are validity, reliability, feasibility, usefulness, and transparency. See assessment.
  • Check the quality of the assessment criteria for essays, thesis, et cetera.
  • Check coherence between the tests, the learning activities and the objectives. (see alignment)
  • The students are well-informed about the content, format, criteria, and procedures of the summative tests.
  • When a test score for a group is meagre (with a success rate of less than 70%), analyse the problem and determine possible solutions.
